ILLIT has received a Platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan for its first original Japanese track 'Almond Chocolate' in the streaming category. Released in February last year, the song achieved Gold certification (50 million streams or more) in approximately five months and surpassed 100 million cumulative streams as of May, reaching Platinum status. The Recording Industry Association of Japan grants monthly certifications based on cumulative streams: Gold (50 million or more), Platinum (100 million or more), Double Platinum (200 million or more), and Diamond (500 million or more). 'Almond Chocolate' won the Excellence Award in the overseas artists category at the 67th Shines! Japan Record Awards. To date, ILLIT has three certified songs from the association: the debut track 'Magnetic' earned Double Platinum about 10 months after release, and 'Lucky Girl Syndrome' from their first mini album received Gold certification. ILLIT is currently conducting its first tour across five Japanese cities, 'ILLIT LIVE "PRESS START♥︎" in JAPAN', through July, with all dates sold out.
