Super Junior member Eunhyuk made a meaningful donation of 10 million won to support retinitis pigmentosa research. Although unable to attend the 12th Seoul Visual Impairment Harmony Marathon held on June 13 at Seoul World Cup Park in Sangam, Eunhyuk contributed to the cause by donating to the Foundation for Fighting Blindness Korea. His donation will be used to develop cell and gene therapies for degenerative visual impairments that cause blindness. The marathon, which has been held for 12 consecutive years, brings together people with and without visual impairments to promote understanding and social awareness of disabilities. Multiple celebrities including Cosmic Girls' Dayoung, actor Yoon Jong-seok, and singer Sean either participated directly or performed on stage to show support. The foundation continues to actively support domestic visual impairment treatment research through partnerships with Samsung Medical Center and other institutions.
