RM, leader of BTS, has been appointed as the first Global Ambassador of the National Museum of Korea on the 20th. This marks the first time the museum has appointed a global ambassador, with the aim of promoting the value of Korean cultural heritage both domestically and internationally alongside the world-renowned artist RM, while elevating the museum's international status. During the appointment ceremony, Museum Director Yoo Hong-joon presented RM with a special edition scroll reproduction of the Daedongyeojido, a prized collection piece. RM pledged to share the beauty and value of Korean cultural heritage with more people worldwide. RM has long shown a keen interest in Korean traditional culture and art, and previously donated 100 million won each to the Overseas Korean Cultural Heritage Foundation in 2021 and 2022. Additionally, he is scheduled to hold a special exhibition of his personal collection at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art in the United States in October, demonstrating his continued passion and engagement in cultural and artistic endeavors.
