ILLIT's Won-hee Reveals Street Casting Story from High School Days

Won-hee from ILLIT appeared on SBS variety show 'Actually, Really!' on the 15th and revealed the backstory of her street casting that became her debut turning point. Born in 2007, Won-hee explained that she came to Seoul alone in her first year of high school to sightsee and received a casting offer at a bus terminal in Gangnam. She mentioned that when the casting director kept asking for her phone number, she became suspicious and requested a business card, but the person didn't provide one, so she initially didn't believe it. When asked if being a singer was her original dream, Won-hee answered that it was one of several dreams she had, and she decided to pursue it when the opportunity came. ILLIT, a five-member girl group that debuted in March 2024, was formed through JTBC audition program 'Are You Next?' and dominated domestic and international music charts with their debut song 'Magnetic'. The group has since released 'Cherish (My Love)' and 'Tick-Tack' consecutively, and garnered attention once again with the title track 'It's Me' from their mini album 3 released in April.
