Felix from Stray Kids has been selected as the first K-POP artist for the '2026 Hanbok Wave' project, co-initiated by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Craft and Design Foundation. The project will be conducted in collaboration with Marie Claire Korea. Now in its seventh year, the Hanbok Wave is a government-led initiative that brings together domestic small and medium-sized hanbok enterprises and global Korean Wave stars to develop contemporary hanbok products and promote them in the global fashion market. Since 2020, participants have included Kim Yuna, Suzy, Kim Tae-ri, and Park Bo-gum. This marks the second collaboration with Marie Claire Korea following the 2024 Kim Tae-ri project. Five small and medium-sized hanbok brands will be selected through open recruitment starting June 17, and will create 10 pieces each totaling 50 hanbok pieces capturing Felix's aura. The resulting photoshoots and videos will be unveiled simultaneously on large digital billboards in Seoul, New York, Paris, and Milan in the second half of the year. Felix, currently enjoying peak popularity in the global music scene, has established new standards for K-POP through topping Billboard charts, conducting large-scale world tours, and headlining major festivals like Governors Ball, while actively establishing his presence in the fashion and beauty industries as an ambassador for several global brands.
