Jacob from THE BOYZ has released his first official solo album 'j.' approximately 9 years after the group's debut in 2017. On the 10th, Jacob unveiled all tracks and the music video for the title track 'Slow Dancing'. The album title 'j.' was inspired by the first letter of Jacob's name and contains a total of 7 tracks in the alternative pop and indie pop genres. All work was conducted independently, with fellow member Sunwoo participating in the song 'Back & Forth' with featured vocals and songwriting. The title track 'Slow Dancing' expresses a natural and pressure-free form of love, showcasing Jacob's soft sensibilities. The album begins with 'Off The Record' and proceeds through warm melodic tracks including 'Back & Forth', 'Slow Dancing', and 'Promise', concluding with 'Stars In The Sky' which conveys quiet hope. Notably, Jacob presented solid work independently amid agency disputes, and after the provisional injunction against exclusive contract enforcement was approved, released the album with the agency name listed as the fandom name (THE B). The title track entered the Top 100 chart on Korean streaming platform Melon following its release.
