SEVENTEEN members D8 and Vernon have formed a new unit called 'V8' and will release a self-titled mini album on June 29th, according to their agency Pledis Entertainment announced on June 16th. The album explores the theme of 'worn-out youth,' expressing moments of confusion and wandering experienced over time, as well as recovery and growth discovered within those experiences. The title track 'singasong' is a hyperpop-based electronic song co-composed by D8, Vernon, and German DJ Mektok. The B-side 'girlsnboys' features participation from Grammy Award 14-time winner Pharrell Williams in composition, lyrics, and production. The album contains 8 tracks total: 'singasong,' 'Friend,' 'BEAT,' 'Mia,' 'Coloring,' 'girlsnboys,' '8DM,' plus digital-exclusive 'rat race.' This marks SEVENTEEN's sixth unit album release. V8 will hold a solo concert at KINTEX in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province on July 11-12, marking the first SEVENTEEN unit concert held in standing format. They will also perform in Hong Kong on July 17-19.
