Joshua, a member of K-pop group SEVENTEEN, delivered a speech representing the group at UNESCO headquarters in Paris on June 25, 2024. The event was held as part of the 'Moving Together - For Youth Creativity and Well-being' program jointly conducted by SEVENTEEN and UNESCO to support youth creativity, mental health, and development. UNESCO Director-General Khalid El-Enany attended the event. As a UNESCO Youth Goodwill Ambassador, Joshua conveyed messages of encouragement to young people worldwide about fostering creativity, caring for mental health, and building confidence. SEVENTEEN, appointed as UNESCO Youth Goodwill Ambassadors in 2024, has previously donated $1 million to establish a global youth fund and contributed proceeds from World Youth Day charity auctions. The fund supports projects that strengthen youth self-esteem and resilience through music, art, and sports while promoting creative communities and raising mental health awareness. The speech was livestreamed on UNESCO's official YouTube channel and marks an important milestone in SEVENTEEN's social responsibility efforts beyond music.
